I don’t know if competition is trying to give this company a bad name or if people really have had bad experiences with them. It’s hard to tell sometimes, but personally I always been happy with their service. I actually stopped using them for a while because of all the negative reviews they have received. Stupid me. I need to learn to take everything with a grain of salt. After doing further investigating, I noticed that the same exact negative reviews have popped up on multiple websites. It looks fishy to me, honestly.
Personally, every time I have ordered from them in the past they have delivered promptly. The person that I have been sending flowers to for the past five years always makes sure to snap a picture with her phone because I have asked her to. How many times have you sent something to someone and they say it was great but only because they don’t want to hurt your feelings? Well, even with her crummy camera phone, I could always tell that her flowers looked fresh.
Long story short, after not ordering from them for maybe a year or so, i got tired of how disgusting 1800 Flowers arrangements are. They literally send rotten flowers and there was no way I was going to send my girlfriend of five years flowers in a box for her to arrange herself. When she sent me a picture of what I ordered, I was very pleased. They also delivered exactly when they said they would. Five stars.

By admin, on January 18th, 2013  Some 27 years ago, CitiFloral had its genesis in the minds of Gene Burdge and Jeff Gaster. They decided to pair their talents and open a flower shop on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, they created a literal Little Shop of Flowers in a storefront on York Avenue that had seen its better days as a floral shop.
Gene brought extensive floral design experience to the package. He had worked his way up from being a floral driver to accomplished designer in his native New Jersey before making the leap to Manhattan, where he met the challenge (with Jeff) of building a full-service florist with a reputation that caught on in a city with discriminating tastes.
Gene brought CitiFloral his unique talents in creating tropical exotic floral designs and fruit and gourmet gift baskets—for which he became known as the “basket case.”
At times seemingly against all odds, Jeff and Gene kept CitiFloral going and growing. Then, a few years ago, Gene decided to retire to Florida.
Gene, our dear friend, passed away Dec. 26, one day short of his 61st birthday. His memory lives on in our store. We will miss him dearly.

And, this is the time of year for the ubiquitous poinsettia plant. It’s the most traditional of Christmas decorations that’s perfect just about everywhere. Poinsettias ooze with the holiday spirit, conveying brightness in this darkest time of year and a meaningful emotional connection with Christmases past.
